Digital Portrait Paintings
Challenging myself to create in different programs and artistic styles is important to me. It allows me to offer my client various styles to choose from and pushes me to keep expanding my skillset.
(Left) Portrait of a young woman created in the style of a loose, traditionally painted style. It has energy and the subject is staring directly at the viewer. Vibrant, saturated colors create appeal for the viewers eye to follow. (right) Portrait of a young woman created in a loose, painterly style. It is realistically depicted with the exception of her eyes which are gold.

I completed this project in three stages. First, I created a rough black and white sketch to grasp the reference photo's likeness. After, I refined my rough lines and put down some base colors. Lastly, I made sure to create interest with more saturated colors.
